University of Georgia students, faculty and staff have free access to download and install Office 365 ProPlus software through their online UGAMail account, which is powered by Office 365.

Students and employees may download and install the latest, full version of Office 365 ProPlus software on up to ten of their personal devices (computers, tablets or phones) with Windows or Apple operating systems.

This service was previously available only to students through the Student Advantage program. It is now available to all UGA faculty and staff, according to the University's existing license with Microsoft. The program is not available to retirees.

To install Office 365 ProPlus on desktops, individuals should log in to their web-based UGAMail account (ugamail.uga.edu). If you are off-campus, you will need ArchPass to complete the log-in process.

How long does a UGA student have access to Office 365 ProPlus?

UGA students have access to their Office 365 ProPlus license while they remain eligible to enroll in classes, which is currently about 12 months after they leave the University. After that, students will have read-only access to their Microsoft files. They may decide to purchase the Office 365 ProPlus on their own.
